I live on the Big Island (Hawaii Island). I like Maui but its gotten crowded, great beaches though. Kauai is great. Of course I prefer where I live. You can visit an active volcano and rainforest, drive through desert, see snow (some times) and then hit the beach. Great snorkeling too. The best parts with any Hawiian vacation, is you can choose how active or inactive you want to be!

I live on oahu and it isnt the greatest island to go to your first time. The big island would be the best choice.they have alot of different things for you to do there.

Kauai is just amazing! The further you get from the airport, the more pristine the island becomes.
It has everything that screams Hawaii except the big surf. It’s a total relaxation spot. I’ve been to all of the islands and this is by far the best for getting away from it all.
I stayed at the Princeville Resort. It takes a little bit to get there as it’s on the other side of the island from the airport, but worth it.
When you’re done “roughing it” that place can spoil you with the best of everything. Worth every penny.
