Summer Breaks to Kavos, Sidari and Kassiopi in Corfu

Corfu is an island paradise featuring spectacular cliff formations on the western coast, numerous resorts, relaxing beaches sprinkled with parasols and sunloungers, idyllic villages , fertile valleys, green forests and mountains to the north with sweeping views of the island, the greek mainland, Albania and even Italy (from Mount Prantokrator) on a clear day. There are plenty of options when it comes to sightseeing around Corfu island. If you’re looking for a truely amazing and popular Greek island holiday then you’re certain to fall for the holiday paradise of Corfu. In addition to the relaxing resorts Corfu also offers some lively resorts such as Kavos, Sidari and Kassiopi Corfu.

If you are yearning for a full fortnight of sun and sand and you like to party by night and chill by day then the town of Kavos on the southern tip is your kind of place. The place is brimming with bars and clubs … and the bars and clubs are jammed with people whose idea of an excellent time is likely to match your own. In Kavos, holidays neatly divide into two time zones – under-the-sun and after-dark. For the former there’s a beautiful sandy beach extending five miles from one end to another – so an array of sun bathing space there. If you’ve got the energy to get active, there are watersports from pedaloes to parasailing. And while the beach is fairly narrow, its gentle drop into the Med provides broad shallows – perfect for laid back on a lilo.

Kavos also has loads of small boutiques, more than you’ll ever need, offering plenty of shopping options with everything from flip flops to sun cream. In addition there are a few traditional tavernas, there are plenty of cafes perfect for grabbing some fast food or to experience an English breakfast – whenever you wake. So nosh can be quite cheap. Kavos Corfu really comes alive after dark though. So pace yourself in the clubs, pubs and bars if you love partying till the small hours. For couples on summer holidays to Kavos, the San Marina Hotel ticks the boxes. If you are seeking a last minute holiday to Kavos, there are usually plenty of bargains.

On the north east tip of the island there are also an abundance of resorts to suit every taste. The town of Kassiopi is quite lively but not in the same league as of Kavos. The tempo rises after dark when the night owls troop to music bars and the traditionalists reveal a traditional taverna for dining, drinking and holiday talk. Just around the coast is the resort of Sidari Corfu which has clubs, bars, pubs and restaurants galore and plenty of places to help you party dusk-till-dawn. It is fair to say that Corfu features a holiday option to suit all tastes.
